IQF fruit is frozen as separate pieces, while block-frozen fruit is frozen together. IQF can be easier to portion; block formats may suit further processing. Choose the format for your application.
Brix measures soluble solids and is commonly used as an indicator of fruit sweetness and processing suitability. Agree the target and test method, alongside variety, ripeness, flavour and defect limits.
We can check that requirement for the selected fruit. Confirm the full ingredient list and whether sugar, syrup or other ingredients are added. Naturally occurring fruit sugars are different from added sugar.
Include the fruit variety, whole or diced format, piece size, grade, Brix requirements if relevant, packing and volume. Confirm the intended use and preparation requirements; frozen fruit should not automatically be assumed ready to eat.
